0% Financing or Factory Rebates?

September 25, 2009

In the current auto market, when a customer goes to buy a new vehicle there are typically some great incentives in place to make the buying process easier.  The two main incentives that we have seen in the past few years is 0% financing and factory rebates, or delivery allowances.  Both of these incentives help to reduce the overall cost of buying a vehicle…they just do it in different ways.

I am often asked which incentive is the best one to take advantage of.  The answer is…it really depends.  0% financing is great for someone who doesn’t have the cash amount to pay for a vehicle in full and doesn’t want to pay their bank interest in order to buy a car.  Factory rebates are great for people who do have cash to pay for a vehicle in full, as the rebate gets taken off the top of the retail price.  But the factory rebates can still benefit the customer who has to finance the vehicle.  Many times the delivery allowance is big enough to more than offset the cost of financing the vehicle.

At Ford today both options available to our customers, depending on which vehicle they are interested in purchasing.

Still feeling confused?  Don’t be!  My advice is to come in and see us and find out what incentives are in place and find the vehicle that suits your needs.  Our sales professionals will explain all of the incentives that we currently have to you.

Ford F-Series tops Canadian Light Truck Sales in August!

September 23, 2009

Sales of the F-Series were up by 7.6% over August 2008, a remarkable number given the drastic decline in numbers shown by many manufacturers.

Sales of the Ford Fusion were also up over last year, making it one of only two cars in the top 10 to have increased in sales year over year.

Industry analysts are finding that consumers are researching more than ever before buying a vehicle.  Ford’s quality ratings have steadily gone up over the past few years, and consumers are definitely taking notice.  This year Ford has surpassed Honda in quality ratings and pulled even with Toyota, who has been the industry leader in quality for quite some time.

Ford has shown that a North American manufacturer CAN compete with the Asian manufacturers and deliver quality vehicles that people want to drive.
